Going through a difficult time in your relationship and seeing no way forward can leave you feeling hopeless and/or fearful of the future. Feeling hopeless in a marriage can be lonely, feel isolating and lead to greater concerns such as, contemplating divorce, experiencing anxiety or even major depression. Feeling hopeless in marriage can even cause physical sickness. But just for one moment, take a step back to see the faithfulness of God. He will never leave you or forsake you. He is with you when the waters overwhelm you. So even when you have no idea of the outcomes of relationships or life, we do know our today and our tomorrow is safe in His hands.
Rest in this truth of Isaiah 43 today, “Now this is what the Lord says – the one who created you, adn the one who formed you, ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you.”
